We're thrilled to introduce one of the most requested features for Opportunities: the ability to add Followers to the opportunities, enabling broader team access and collaboration.

What's New?

  • New Field - "Followers":

    When creating or editing opportunities, you'll find a new standard field named "Followers".

  • User Selection:

    This multi-select dropdown allows you to choose up to 10 users from your sub-account to follow an opportunity.

  • Visibility on Dashboard:

    Opportunities you're following will appear on your board, even when the "only assigned data is ON" setting is active.

  • Permission Alignment:

    Followers have the same permissions as owners (access, view, edit) with some exceptions as detailed below.

Note:

  • Ownership Restrictions:

    When "only assigned data is ON," Followers (as Sub-account USERS) cannot change the owner of the opportunity.

  • Admin Privileges:

    Admins can now view all opportunities in a sub-account, similar to contacts, even when "only assigned data is ON".

  • Edge Case Handling:

    For USER type with "only assigned data is ON" and unassigned contacts, Followers can edit opportunity details and custom fields but not the contact, tasks, and notes.

Behaviour Change Alert:

  • Admin Access Update:

    Previously, admins could see all contacts but only assigned opportunities with "only assigned data is ON". This has been revised: now admins can access both contacts and opportunities under this setting.

  • We will be adding granular permission in the future that can be used to configure them as per the requirement.

This feature is designed to enhance teamwork and opportunity management within the CRM.
